Energy Innovation Lab (EIL)
Powering Lebanon’s Energy Future, One Startup at a Time
The Energy Innovation Lab (EIL) is a national incubation and acceleration program led by NV Innovation Lebanon, in partnership with UNDP Lebanon and funded by the European Union.
It supports early-stage startups developing solutions in renewable energy, energy efficiency, the circular economy, and smart systems helping founders transform innovative ideas into scalable, market-ready businesses.
Through a structured 12-sprint incubation journey, expert mentorship, laboratory access, and non-equity grants of up to USD 25,000, the Lab enables entrepreneurs to validate their business models, build prototypes, and attract investment.
The program also features a national roadshow, a mentorship network, and an investor roadshow that connects Lebanese startups with regional and EU markets.
Hosted at ISSAE-CNAM Beirut, the Lab offers a dedicated co-working and testing space, supported by digital tools and a nationwide ecosystem of academic, private-sector, and international partners—laying the groundwork for Lebanon’s green economic recovery.

It serves as a national one-stop platform connecting policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs, and investors through curated data dashboards, publications, news, and stakeholder directories.
The platform enhances coordination and transparency across Lebanon’s energy sector by providing:
- A comprehensive directory of national energy actors and initiatives
- Access to reports, tools, and datasets for researchers and startups
- A forum that fosters policy and innovation dialogue
- An interactive dashboard that visualizes Lebanon’s energy landscape
By bringing these features together, the Energy Hub enables evidence-based decision-making and supports Lebanon’s transition toward a sustainable and inclusive energy economy.
